Position: Cromwell Hatchery General Labor
Location: Cromwell, IN
Reports To: Hatchery Supervisor
Position Duties:
- Washing and inspecting eggs.
- Traying up incubator sets
- Candling eggs
- Transferring eggs
- Washing of boxes, trays, plastic flats and baskets
- Hatch pull and duck servicing
- Inspection of birds being shipped
- Production cleaning of all areas and equipment in the hatchery.
- May perform other tasks as determined by the production supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Active listening – Giving full attention to what your supervisors are saying, and asking questions as appropriate.
- Speaking – Talking to others in a professional and courteous manner to convey information effectively.
- The ability to see small details at close range and differentiate color.
- The ability to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects using both hands and good finger dexterity.
- The ability to lift 10 to 50 lbs.
- The ability to repetitively lift 20 to 25 lbs. above head and below knee.
- The ability to work in hot, cold and or wet environment.
- The ability to use pressure hose and garden hose and work with production cleaning products.
- The ability to climb ladders and work on top of machinery
- The ability to count accurately.
- The ability to work hours required, start time may vary when the process requires and working until the process is complete (no set time).
