Our company works alongside 150 local farm families to deliver premium duck products. Each farm follows our Trident Stewardship Program guidelines. This program guarantees that our partner farms uphold the highest standards in duck care, prioritizing their health and the preservation of our natural resources. The Trident Stewardship Program was developed based on extensive research and feedback from poultry experts and veterinarians.

Maple Leaf Farms works with local farmers to source the grains needed to feed our birds. This helps us maintain the safety and quality of our food because we know exactly where it comes from and how it is grown. With many industry certifications earned by our company-owned feed mill, we only give the best quality feed to our ducks.

Our commitment to family values and our heritage begins right on the farms. Several of our farmers and their families have farmed their land for generations. Multiple generations are trained to provide exceptional care for our ducks. Many of the farms we work with are operated by Amish families who involve every family member in the farming operations. All farmers are cautious and aware of the biosecurity measures and other safety and health precautions that must be taken when raising ducks.

While our farmers undergo training and certifications via our Trident Stewardship Program, we also offer further assistance through regular visits from our live production staff and veterinarians. Ensuring the proper care of our birds is very important to us. This support helps us to maintain the health and well-being of our birds at every stage.

Our duck feed is meticulously crafted using locally sourced corn, soy, and wheat, complemented with essential vitamins and minerals. Located in northern Indiana, our duck farms are surrounded by a rich abundance of corn, soybeans, and wheat that is grown in the area. The natural quality of our feed can even be eaten by humans! The duck manure produced on our farms is used as fertilizer to support the growth of crops in the local area, as well.
