Maple Leaf Farms Donates Duck for Culinary Charity Event

Maple Leaf Farms recently donated duck to a charity event for the Food and Finance High School, which is New York City's only public high school focused on the culinary arts.​

The Small Plates Big Hearts Gala brought together more than 25 of New York City's top restaurants and chefs to raise money for scholarships, internship programs and the high school's new student-run cafe. The gala included a tasting event and a silent auction.

Maple Leaf Farms duck breast was featured during the tasting event. Hello Fresh’s Chef Claudia Sidoti prepared Cherry Ancho Duck Breast with Heirloom Roasted Carrots & Chive Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes.

Duck Marketing Director Cindy Turk, Duck Sales Director Brian Beam and Duck Regional Sales Manager Albert Hernandez ​​represented Maple Leaf Farms at the event. The company is proud to support the unique educational opportunity that the Food and Finance High School offers to students and their families.
