Duck Bao Buns
Duck bao is a popular dish in Asian cuisine consisting of tender duck meat in a fluffy steamed bun. Accompanied with a savory sauce and crunchy veggies, it offers a tasty combination of textures and flavors!

2 Cups Flour

1 Roast Half Duck, defrosted

2 Cups Flour

1 tsp. Instant Yeast

1 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. Sugar

¼ tsp. Salt

¾ Cup Whole Milk

1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil

1/3 Cup Hoisin Sauce

½ Bunch Green Onions, thinly sliced

Option: Use Premade Bao Buns as an alternative to making dough.
Directions

In a standing mixer, combine flour, yeast, baking powder. Sugar and salt. Start mixing and add milk. Knead the dough with the mixer for 10 minutes.

Let the dough rest and rise for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake roast half duck in a shallow baking pan for 20 minutes.

Shred and chop duck into bite small pieces. Combine in a bowl with hoisin sauce and scallions.

Divide the dough into 16 pieces. Roll into a ball. Flatten each ball out to get ready for filling.

Place 1-2 tsp. of duck mixture into each dough piece and reform dough ball with filling in the center, pinching the edges together to seal. Brush each piece with vegetable oil.

Prepare your steamer basket. Add duck baos to steamer basket and steam for 12-15 minutes. Serve Immediately.
