Tucker Family Duck Brats with Onion Jam
Fire up the grill for this delicious traditional brat recipe! Classic onion jam tops our savory Duck Brats on a toasted hoagie roll.
Ingredients

4–6 Maple Leaf Farms duck brats

2 Tbsp unsalted butter

2 medium sweet onions (sliced in 0.25 inch thick rings)

1 tsp kosher salt

1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

2 cups beef stock or beer

2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

4–6 hoagie rolls, toasted

Heat butter in large pan until foaming. On low heat add the onions, brown sugar, salt & pepper.

Stir and let caramelize for about 20 minutes. Then stir in Dijon mustard.

Add the duck brats into the pan and pour beef stock or beer over brats; bring to medium heat and let the brats braise for 10 minutes. (Duck brats are already fully cooked).

Removed brats and let onion mixture simmer on medium while you finish the brats on the grill about 4–5 minutes on each side.

Serve in hoagie roll with onion jam on top.
