Duck Jalapeno Poppers
A delicious Duck twist on the classic jalapeno popper! Our Ground Duck is blended with spices, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese then stuffed into bacon-wrapped jalapeno peppers.

Ingredients
Duck Sausage

12 oz. Ground Duck

1/2 tsp Sage

1/2 tsp Basil

1/2 tsp Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Thyme

1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Jalapeno Poppers

½ Medium Onion, Diced
-
2 Large Cloves Garlic, Minced

12 Large Jalapenos
-
8 oz. Cream Cheese
-
1 Cup Shredded Cheddar

12 slices Thick Cut Pork Bacon

1 tsp. Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Slice jalapenos in half and deseed carefully.

In a medium bowl, mix Ground Duck and spices to create duck sausage.

Heat the olive oil on medium-high in a frying pan. Sauté onions for 2-3 minutes then add in duck sausage and garlic then brown for 5-7 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine duck sausage and onion/garlic mix, cheddar cheese, and cream cheese.

Stuff each jalapeno half with the duck and cheese mixture, then wrap each popper with ½ a slice of bacon (cut lengthwise).

Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Finish in the broiler for 2-3 minutes for extra crispy bacon.
