Position: Customer Service Specialist /Call Center
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
Position Duties:
- COMMUNICATES PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE, PRICING AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES TO CUSTOMER.
- PROCESS ORDERS VIA FAX, PHONE, EMAIL AND /OR THOSE PLACED BY SALES DEPARTMENT.
- ABILITY TO CLOSELY CHECK ORDERS FOR ACCURACY
- MONITOR CUSTOMER CREDIT STATUS BEFORE RELEASING ORDER TO PRODUCTION.
- PROCESS CREDIT CARD CHARGES AND OBTAIN AUTORHIZATION PRIOR TO RELEASE OF ORDER TO PRODUCTION.
- MONITOR TIME-SENSITIVE ORDERS TO ENSURE COMMITMENTS TO CUSTOMERS ARE MET.
- PROFESSIONALLY HANDLE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS FROM INCOMING CALL/CONTACT, THROUGH RESOLUTION.
- INITIATE CONTACT WITH INACTIVE ACCOUNTS IN AN EFFORT TO RE-ESTABLISH BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP.
- ASSIST IN MAINTENANCE OF CUSTOMER FILES.
- PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED.
Qualifications:
- Progressive related experience in Customer Service
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and problem solving in a timely manner
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately report information
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with a variety of individuals and situations
- Working knowledge of computers, including, but not limited to, word processing spreadsheets, and databases
- Mandarin Language skills a plus
- Previous knowledge of the food industry is helpful
